Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement or related roles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Job description

  • Primary focus is to analyze Production requirements and provide Purchase Order support to meet MRP and Production demand.
  • Maintain and develop vendor relationships.
  • Investigate root cause in supply chain process errors and take actions to prevent reoccurrences.
  • Initiate, follow up, and expedite Purchase Orders to meet Production needs.
  • Resolve invoice, billing, discrepant material (MRB), rework items, and receiving errors.
  • Interact and support a broad spectrum of personnel, internal and external to NOV.
  • Track and resolve logistic delays, errors and on-time delivery.
  • Negotiates price, quality and delivery, and terms, selects supplier and places purchase orders while assuring compliance to local and Corporate Operating Procedures and Ethical Code of Conduct.
  • Coordinate contract agreements between suppliers and NOV in collaboration with Procurement Manager/Supervisor.
  • Coordinate with planning to ensure product is on time and communicate any issues, updates, and/or changes.
  • Maintain SOX compliance.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures related to the Procurement process.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements (Minimum Education and Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar or related role
  • Previous manufacturing/oilfield experience considered an asset.

Technical Requirements (software or program knowledge needed):

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Proficient in ERP systems (Oracle EBS preferred).

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organization and time management.
