Job Description

BUTCHER / MEAT CUTTER WANTED

Bring your skill, speed, and craftsmanship to L’OCA Quality Market.

We’re looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Butcher / Meat Cutter to join the heart of our meat department at L’OCA Quality Market. This is an opportunity for a skilled professional to take pride in precision cutting, product presentation, and customer engagement — all in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment where excellence is more than a standard, it’s a value.

As a Butcher/Meat Cutter, you’ll be responsible for fabricating a variety of meats, maintaining a clean and efficient workspace, and ensuring our cases are full, fresh, and enticing. You'll also help mentor less experienced staff and uphold the values that define L’OCA: Quality, Scratch, Theatre, Service, and Love.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A trustworthy professional with a minimum of 1 year meat cutting experience
  • Strong knife skills and knowledge of primal, subprimal, and retail cuts
  • A team player who can work independently while supporting and mentoring others
  • Someone with a sharp eye for quality and presentation, and the physical stamina to do the job (lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, work in cold environments)
  • A commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and efficiency
  • Friendly, engaging, and confident in customer interactions
  • Open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Why L’OCA?

  • Skilled Trade, Quality Environment: Use your craft where it’s respected — from whole animal breakdown to scratch-made sausage, we do it the right way.
  • Room to grow: Leadership opportunities, mentorship, and further training available for those looking to advance
  • Positive culture: Work with a team that values hard work, craftsmanship, and kindness
  • Good pay: Starting at $20–$23/hr, based on experience and skill

This position is ideal for someone ready to take pride in their craft and be part of a team that’s serious about quality — in product, people, and service.
