Working closely with our clients, you will offer insights and advice, support them in making strategic decisions, navigate the implementation of technology and operational workflows, and guide teams through the transformation journey.

Our engagements span from strategic assessments and target operating model designs to system/vendor selections, technology and data architecture design, and implementation support for mid to large-scale transformation opportunities.

  • Provide subject matter guidance to team members based on experience and knowledge of the retail banking industry and experience with technology and operations projects.
  • Business & Practice Development: Assist the partner and the team by leading and managing business development initiatives, including developing proposals and scoping documents, and proactively building relationships with clients and peers at EY.
  • Team Management: Support people development through activities such as recruitment, mentoring, and counseling programs.
  • Account Management & Financials: Oversee engagement financials to maintain profitability and efficient resource allocation, as well as ensure compliance with internal risk and oversight procedures.
  • Growth Strategy Execution: Collaborate with the partner, other practices, and the team to execute growth strategies and initiatives.
Skills & Attributes for Success
  • Strong knowledge and experience in the retail banking industry (e.g., customer experience, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and digital banking solutions).
  • Proven delivery leadership and people management experience in retail banking projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and client presentations.
  • A structured approach to critical problem-solving.
  • Ability to lead and supervise project teams in a collaborative environment, providing valuable insights and high-impact solutions to client issues.
  • High motivation, a self-starting attitude, and the ability to think outside the box while thriving on new challenges.
Qualifications
  • A successful track record leading projects (10 years+) in the retail banking industry, gained through experience working at a retail bank, a top-tier consulting firm, or a specialist financial services consultancy.
  • Experience in leading sales collateral such as proposal responses.
  • Strong business writing, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring team members.
  • Extensive experience in project and program delivery.
  • Deep understanding of current market trends in the retail banking industry and subject matter expertise.
