The opportunity

You will help develop and expand EY’s Asset Management and Pensions team. The Asset Management group offers advisory services across Capital Markets, Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Alternative Investments, Pensions, and Corporate services for Pensions Funds and Asset Managers in Canada.

We are looking for energized, motivated leaders with experience in transforming the front, middle, and back offices of asset management clients. You will work closely with clients, providing insights and advice, supporting change decisions, implementing technology and operational workflows, and guiding teams through transformation.

Our projects range from strategic assessments and target operating model designs to system/vendor selections, and technology and data architecture implementation for mid to large-scale transformations.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead multiple client engagements, managing planning, execution, stakeholder relationships, and delivering strategic outcomes.
• Provide subject matter guidance based on asset management industry knowledge and experience with technology and operations projects.
• Assist in business and practice development, including proposals, scoping, and building client relationships.
• Support team development through recruitment, mentoring, and coaching.
• Oversee engagement financials to ensure profitability, resource allocation, and compliance with internal procedures.
• Collaborate with partners and teams to execute growth strategies.

To qualify for the role you must have

• A successful track record (10+ years) leading projects in asset or investment management, gained through experience at an asset manager, consulting firm, or financial services provider.
• Experience developing sales proposals and responses.
• Strong business writing, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Coaching and mentoring experience.
• Extensive project and program delivery experience.
• Deep understanding of current market trends in wealth and asset management.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Knowledge of buy-side front/middle office, operations, product development, fund setup, outsourcing, or regulatory landscape.
• Experience with institutional investors, pension funds, or real estate industries is preferred.
• Previous consulting experience is a plus.
