Position Description :

The Business Transformation Analyst at Seaspan Ship Management Ltd. plays a crucial role in driving the company's growth and development through business analysis and transformation initiatives. This role involves conducting research and analysis to identify business transformation opportunities, developing strategies for improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Business Analysis : Conduct research and analysis to identify business transformation opportunities and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Process Improvement : Analyze and map current business processes, define and map improved processes, and implement process simplification, system automation, and digitalization initiatives.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with internal and external business contacts to gather and analyze data, assess processes, and recommend changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Project Management : Develop and implement transformation initiatives, including business process reengineering, organizational restructuring, and technology adoption.
  • Change Management : Support change management efforts by assisting with training and communication plans, and facilitating the adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Monitoring and Reporting : Monitor and track the progress of transformation projects, ensuring they are aligned with company goals and objectives. Provide regular reports and presentations to stakeholders, communicating project status, findings, and recommendations.

Requirements :

  • Education : A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Experience : A minimum of 3 years of experience in business transformation, process improvement, or related roles.
  • Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and analyze complex data. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Certifications : Relevant certifications in process improvement (e.g., Six Sigma) is highly desirable.
  • Additional Desired Qualifications :

  • Industry Experience : Experience in the maritime industry or a related field is preferred.
  • Innovation : Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement within an organization.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as SQL, Power BI, and other business intelligence tools.
  • Compensation and Benefits package :

    Seaspan’s total compensation is based on our pay-for-performance philosophy that rewards team members who deliver on and demonstrate our high-performance culture. The hiring range for this position is $85,000- $95,000 CAD per annum. The exact base salary offered will be commensurate with the incumbent’s experience, job-related skills and knowledge, and internal pay equity. In addition to base salary, we offer a competitive total rewards package which includes an annual performance-based bonus, a comprehensive benefits package (extended health, dental, life and disability insurance), retirement savings plan matching and other company-provided rewards.
