Business Systems Analyst (Data Analyst) (contract)

We are seeking a BSA / DA (Business Systems Analyst / Data Analyst) to assess, analyze, and document business and system needs while recommending technology solutions aligned with stakeholder goals. This role requires strong experience in Retail Banking, system requirements gathering, and stakeholder collaboration. You will be responsible for leading solution design, producing functional documentation, and contributing to project delivery across full implementation cycles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess business needs, perform gap analyses, and document detailed business and system requirements
  • Facilitate meetings ranging from small workgroups to large stakeholder sessions for requirements gathering, design discussions, decision-making, and implementation planning
  • Lead design phases and determine the optimal mix of configurations, application development, and third-party integrations to meet business objectives
  • Develop detailed functional specifications, user stories, test cases, and configuration documentation
  • Collaborate closely with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure end-to-end solution alignment
  • Create clear and effective visual documentation including process flows and diagrams
  • Provide support as a backup to the Scrum Master as needed
  • Contribute to Regulatory or Mainframe project efforts where applicable

Technical Profile

  • Strong working knowledge of Retail Banking platforms and domain processes
  • Experience with project collaboration and documentation tools: JIRA, Confluence, Mural
  • Proficient in creating process flows and diagrams using Visio and/or Lucidchart
  • Understanding of system integration and end-to-end data/process workflows

Functional Profile

  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration
  • Able to translate complex requirements into actionable system solutions
  • Capable of leading sessions independently and influencing decision-making
  • Experienced in full-cycle implementation projects
  • Comfortable acting in a dual BSA / SM capacity in Agile environments

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $36.37 / hour - $56.84 / hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.
