Our HRPD Systems team within our North American Headquarters (Edmonton, AB) is currently seeking a critical thinking Business Systems Analyst with experience in HR and/or delivering HR projects. Our team is in the midst of a transformation to improve our employee experience and the technologies we use. You will collaborate with our business stakeholders and other analysts to translate business requirements into system configuration. Here's how a Business Systems Analyst for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities
  • Understand HR requirements, strategies, best practices, processes, and business outcomes.
  • Gather, document, design, validate, and gain sign-off on business system user requirements.
  • Lead workshops and build consensus with stakeholders and subject matter experts across multiple business units.
  • Create and maintain business requirements and design training documentation and materials.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive and translate requirements into impactful reporting solutions.
  • Design reporting Proof of Concepts that align with business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Partner with the technical team to deliver robust reporting solutions.
  • Manage and lead training rollouts to the internal client group.
  • Develop use case scenarios, user stories, and training material.
  • Validate designs and build consensus with subject matter experts.
  • Create and execute change management plans to drive acceptance, adoption, minimize resistance, and maximize engagement and efficiencies.
  • Provide customer-centric support to all users.
  • Assist in the analysis and verification of data conversion activities.
  • Record UAT results, track issues, report status, and gain sign-off on user acceptance.
  • Oversee the definition of requirements and building of HR reports.
  • Test system configuration to identify issues and ensure it matches requirements.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years of business analysis experience.
  • Post-secondary education in information systems, information technology, business administration, commerce, computing science, or a related field.
  • Certification with BABOK or IIBA, or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR key processes and best practices.
  • Comfortable working with high-profile, aggressive project schedules.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to develop creative solutions for company-wide processes and software.
  • Experience with software implementations, SDLC methodologies, business process re-engineering, and change management.
  • Relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.
  • Positive attitude with a passion for project success.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors is an asset.
