Overview:

Our client is seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst with expertise in gathering business requirements, analyzing processes, and designing technical solutions that improve business efficiency. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications, all while leveraging your programming expertise to develop, test, and optimize systems.

What you will be doing:

1. Identify, plan, develop, implement, and be an ambassador for technical change.
2. Play a crucial role in bridging the gap between both our supply chain and retail operations teams and the technology systems that help drive their business. This includes:
   1. Collaborating with multiple business functions and IT teams to develop and implement solutions that improve operational efficiency.
   2. Integrating and supporting best-in-class enterprise-wide applications to provide for our customers as well as our internal teams.
   3. Helping lead, plan, and coordinate the integration and implementation of enhancements for various software applications.
3. Be responsible for analyzing data, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that enhance our retail operations. As part of that function, you will:
   1. Conduct thorough business process analysis to identify areas for improvement and technological investment.
   2. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs and performance metrics.
   3. Conduct systems analysis and design activities that deliver technical solutions to business opportunities.
4. Provide actionable insights and recommendations for various business partners that will drive our retail strategies and contribute to our company’s continued success. This involves:
   1. Evaluating and recommending IT systems, tools, and software that align with company goals and objectives.
   2. Preparing plans and delivery dates for work packages while managing all tasks associated with delivery.

What you must have:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. A diploma/degree in both computer science and business studies.
3. 5+ years of professional development experience within an enterprise environment.
4. Strong communication skills that enable IT to collaborate with business partners on new initiatives.
5. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization software like PowerBI, Tableau, or Qlik.
6. A background developing applications in current programming languages like C# and Java would be beneficial.
7. Experience in a large-scale retail IT environment.
8. Extensive knowledge and experience of IT systems, relational databases, and data analysis.
9. The ability to excel at identifying and understanding business problems with a proven track record of translating those problems into requirements for working solutions.
10. A demonstrated history of success in problem-solving complex issues with a strong attention to detail.
11. A background in making critical and successful decisions under pressure.
12. Knowledge of the retail industry.
13. Familiarity with modern retail IT architecture, development practices, and retail business concepts such as advanced inventory planning, merchandising technologies, supply chain technologies, retail analytics, etc.
14. A portfolio that showcases your strong project management experience.

Salary/Rate Range: $80,000 -$110,000
