Job summary

CI Financial is seeking a Business System Analyst to join the Wealth Technology Product team in CI Wealth. This role partners with business and IT to implement solutions and processes aligned with strategic goals.

It is an in-office role, requiring four days onsite per week to support collaboration and business needs. You will gather requirements, document user stories in JIRA, engage stakeholders, and support testing and QA to ensure successful implementations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers, developers and technical teams to identify, document, and manage business requirements.
• Ensure requirements are complete, correct, consistent, concise, and achievable with sign-off from business owners.
• Proactively investigate, understand, and articulate business issues and opportunities, recommending viable solutions.
• Document new requirements as user stories in JIRA and maintain project documentation.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with business users to determine optimal solutions.
• Set stakeholder expectations and communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Organize and facilitate stakeholder meetings with documented actions and decisions.
• Act as a liaison between business and IT teams, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Develop and execute test plans and test cases for high-quality implementations.
• Verify test output and coordinate resolutions with relevant teams.
• Assist in transitioning from project implementation to operational support.

We are looking for a Business System Analyst to join our talented Product team in the Wealth Technology group at CI Wealth. In this role you will partner with the business and IT to implement solutions and processes to achieve our strategic goals

This role follows our in‑office work model and requires employees to be onsite four days per week to support collaboration and business needs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Requirements Gathering & Documentation

• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and technical teams to identify, document, and manage business requirements and specifications.
• Ensure business requirements are complete, correct, consistent, concise, and achievable, securing sign-off from business owners.
• Proactively investigate, understand, and articulate business issues, processes, and opportunities, recommending viable solutions.
• Document new requirements as user stories in JIRA and maintain project documentation in alignment with the JIRA framework.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

• Establish and maintain strong partnerships with business users to determine optimal solutions for business and system needs.
• Set stakeholder expectations appropriately and effectively communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Organize and facilitate stakeholder meetings, ensuring key actions and decisions are documented and followed up on.
• Act as a liaison between business and IT teams, soliciting input from subject matter experts and ensuring alignment with business goals.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Support testing phases by developing and executing test plans and test cases to ensure high-quality implementations.
• Verify test output, report critical issues, and coordinate resolutions with relevant teams.
• Ensure thorough documentation of test results and assist in the transition from project implementation to operational support.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Extensive understanding of financial products, business processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Strong experience in business system analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation.
• Proven ability to recommend and implement business process improvements.
• Hands‑on experience with JIRA for backlog management and agile project execution.
• Deep knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working within cross‑functional agile teams.
• Expertise in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including developing and executing test plans to validate functionality against documented requirements.
• Strong focus on quality assurance to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
• Proven ability to lead meetings, facilitate discussions, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to deliver high-quality work under pressure.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Experience with information systems and exposure to project management processes.
• Solid business skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technology and business needs.

This opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $95,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program.
