They are seeking a highly analytical and tech-savvy Business Systems Analyst to join their team. This role is crucial in bridging business needs and technical solutions, ensuring systems are designed and implemented to support business objectives efficiently. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable systems, optimize workflows, and deliver impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements with stakeholders.
  2. Create detailed functional and non-functional specifications for development and implementation.
  3. Coordinate with developers, product managers, and operations teams to align project goals.
  4. Develop solutions using internal tools to streamline and automate processes.
  5. Translate business and finance requirements into system specifications.
  6. Investigate bugs and system issues by reviewing code and working with engineering teams.
  7. Support testing, validation, and quality assurance processes.
  8. Maintain comprehensive system documentation, including process flows and user guides.
  9. Explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly.
  10. Continuously seek innovative solutions to optimize workflows and improve system performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in complex system implementations, including requirement gathering, planning, analysis, testing, and documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of database design, process flow diagrams, and SQL.
  • Experience with business requirements elicitation, process mapping, application support, and system support.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams effectively.
  • Knowledge of business analysis best practices, project management, quality assurance, and software development methodologies.
  • Experience producing BRDs, user cases, user stories, BPMs.
  • Understanding of programming logic and ability to collaborate with engineering teams.
  • Ability to read and understand code for debugging and enhancements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in a tech company, startup, or consulting environment is preferred.
  • Understanding of technologies used in custom and packaged applications.

Position is on-site in Toronto.

Salary range: $70,000 - $75,000.
