Job Description

RST is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Business System Analyst. The successful applicant is responsible for optimizing and modernizing processes, reporting, data integrity, and testing to ensure security of data and compliance. This role is a subject matter expert on our operating systems and internal reporting tools.

Responsibilities
  1. Configure, manage, maintain, and continuously improve the business application in support of business process
  2. Ensure that all applicable system features and functionality are leveraged
  3. Provide subject matter knowledge and problem-solving abilities
  4. Identify and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities that align with business objectives
  5. Manage environment to ensure integrity, performance, accessibility, and recoverability of data
  6. Supports application life cycle work which can include patching, upgrades, testing, developing test cases, etc.
  7. In-house, first level support to resolve application or data issues
  8. Develop and deliver user training on new processes, tools, and system functionalities
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree preferred in IT, Business, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in a business support or systems-related role.
  3. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps).
  4. Experience with Alteryx, Cognos, and TMW is an asset.
  5. Highly organized, analytical, and business savvy with strong problem-solving skills.
  6. Customer-focused, with a passion for process improvement and automation.
  7. Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  8. Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  9. Team player and self-starter, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  10. Experience in the Transportation & Logistics industry is an asset.
  11. Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certifications are an advantage.
