A leading healthcare system is seeking a full-time Business Support Assistant to join their North East Rehabilitation Service. In this role, you will interact with patients and referrers, manage electronic referrals, and utilize various Microsoft Office applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in health or social care and possess strong communication skills. This is an essential position that contributes to maximizing patient independence and preventing hospital admissions.

This is a permanent, full time position.
The shift pattern for this position is Monday – Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm.
An opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Assistant to join the North East Rehabilitation Service. The multidisciplinary team provides physical rehabilitation for people within their own homes with the aim of maximising independence and preventing admission to hospital and long term care. This post is an integral part of the team.
Your workload would include speaking with patients, relatives and referrers by phone, dealing with electronic referrals (SCI store), uploading them onto the clinical system (EMIS), checking email inbox and dealing with correspondence. There would be an expectation that you would be familiar with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook. You would be expected to input data into systems, run reports and compile clinical letters. Previous experience in the health or social care environment would be advantageous.
