Exceldor cooperative is currently seeking a Sales Strategy Manager. Reporting to the VP, Sales and Supply Chain, the incumbent will support the national sales teams to achieve commercial objectives. They will be responsible for implementing effective sales strategies, developing and monitoring sales budgets, and analyzing market data. They will work closely with internal teams and participate in customer presentations. They will also maintain key relationships with business partners and ensure strategic alignment across all regions.

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Develop and implement innovative business strategies to drive growth in the domestic market, focusing on the fresh and further processed chicken, as well as whole, cut and further processed turkey categories.
  • Supervise, coach and mobilize sales teams to ensure achievement of commercial objectives.
  • Establish pricing programs for the various product segments in collaboration with the costing teams.
  • Participate in external customer presentations to support commercial initiatives.
  • Work closely with internal departments (marketing, production, finance) to align on sales objectives.
  • Establish annual sales budgets by region and strategic segment and ensure weekly follow-up.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and make data-driven decisions to improve outcomes.
  • Analyze market data (Nielsen, POS, etc.) to identify sales movements, trends, competitive positioning and develop strategies for the organization.
  • Monitor the competition and adjust action plans to maintain strategic advantages.
  • Identify growth opportunities through market analysis and propose innovative initiatives.
  • Lead strategic business projects, coordinating and monitoring milestones.
  • Maintain ongoing market developments, including consumer behavior and industry innovations.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or business administration with a marketing option, or other relevant training.
  • Over 11 years' experience in marketing and/or sales strategy.
  • Proficiency in Nielsen’s databases, POS systems and the Microsoft suite, including Power BI, is required for this position.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of managing teams.
  • Market analysis skills to identify trends, opportunities and threats.
  • Knowledge or experience in the food industry is an asset.
  • Demonstrate adaptability to market changes and the integration of new technologies.
  • Ability to understand and manage the financial aspects of business strategies, including budgeting and performance tracking.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an important asset due to the nature of the role, tools used, and interactions with English and French-speaking partners.
