Where Business Strategy Meets Technology Impact.

As the Business Solutions Manager - Merchandising, Inventory Planning & EDI, you will guide the technology strategy and solutions roadmap for key business functions, including Merchandising, Inventory Planning, Vendor Management, and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). Acting as a strategic partner and business-facing application portfolio owner, you will be accountable for technology planning, solution delivery, operational support, vendor management, and continuous improvement across your assigned business domains.

This role combines leadership of major technology initiatives with responsibility for managing the ongoing health, stability, support, and evolution of a portfolio of business-critical applications. Working closely with business stakeholders, team members, and external vendors, you will ensure technology solutions deliver measurable value, support operational excellence, and advance the organization’s modernization objectives.

Reporting to the Director, Business Solutions, this role is suited to a leader with experience delivering and supporting technology solutions within merchandising, inventory planning, vendor management, supply chain, distribution, wholesale, manufacturing, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environments.

Ready to make an impact in a new role? Here’s how:

  • Lead and manage the delivery of technology solutions across both project-based initiatives and day-to-day production support.
  • Own the application portfolio supporting Merchandising, Inventory Planning, Vendor Management, and EDI business functions.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand priorities and act as a trusted advisor on technology solutions and investments.
  • Serve as the primary technology partner to Merchandising, Inventory Planning, Vendor Management, and related business leaders, helping define technology strategies and roadmaps.
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of system enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and new technology implementations.
  • Lead modernization and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance business capabilities and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and coach a technical team, supporting both project delivery and operational excellence.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, including contracts, service levels, and performance.
  • Oversee EDI platforms, supplier connectivity solutions, and critical business integrations.
  • Serve as Solution Owner for key technologies and participate in operational and project governance forums.
  • Establish technology roadmaps, prioritize enhancements, manage application lifecycles, and maximize business value from technology investments.
  • Support the Director, Business Solutions, with broader IT initiatives and organizational priorities.

We’re looking for:

  • Ten years of progressive experience in IT, business solutions, enterprise applications, or technology delivery, with at least 3 years of people leadership experience.
  • Strong experience delivering and supporting technology solutions for Merchandising, Inventory Planning, Vendor Management, Supply Chain, Distribution, Wholesale, Manufacturing, or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) business functions.
  • Post secondary education in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Proven ability to partner with business leaders to deliver and maintain technology solutions that support modernization and operational efficiency.
  • Strong communication, relationship management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and enterprise solution delivery.
  • Experience serving as the business-facing owner of technology solutions, including roadmap planning, solution delivery, operational support, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience leading enterprise application portfolios, merchandising platforms, inventory planning systems, supply chain solutions, or other business-critical enterprise applications.
  • Experience with merchandising platforms, inventory planning systems, replenishment solutions, product information management (PIM) platforms, inventory management solutions, supplier collaboration technologies, or EDI ecosystems.
  • Experience with EDI solutions, supplier onboarding, trading partner integrations, and B2B data exchange processes.
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies (including Dynamics 365), Oracle, and related enterprise platforms.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integrations, APIs, middleware, and business application ecosystems.
  • Experience with Azure, API Management, Power BI, or similar cloud and analytics technologies is considered an asset.
  • Experience managing external vendors and service providers, including operational contracts, SLAs, performance management, budgeting, and invoicing.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
  • The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
