Our team is seeking a product owner to maximize product value and teamwork. As the Business Services Capital Markets Product Owner on the Capital Markets Solutions team, you will represent the business needs voiced by internal clients. Your role involves supporting the growth of the Fixed Income Group by modernizing and transforming its IT solutions and business processes. You will work closely with the project sponsor, project manager, architects, and the integration team to ensure the solution meets user needs and that the project’s benefits are realized. Managing relationships with stakeholders and establishing the structure and agile methods for project execution are also key responsibilities. Additionally, you will lead and influence squad specialists and practitioners on planning, feasibility, development projects, and strategic initiatives involving multiple sectors.

Specifically, your responsibilities include:

  1. Advising clients and partners to help them position, plan, develop, execute, and monitor strategic projects and initiatives.
  2. Developing and implementing goals, solutions, and action plans.
  3. Defining and prioritizing items in the team’s calendar to ensure the completion of strategic, high-impact files.
  4. Defining the product backlog for projects, mandates, and development activities.
  5. Identifying sprint priorities to maximize business value.
  6. Explaining specifications for product features clearly to development and IT support teams.
  7. Collaborating with IT, architecture, and business teams to align data asset roadmaps.
  8. Developing and updating policies, standards, models, and programs for strategic projects.
  9. Diagnosing issues, challenges, and needs within the multidisciplinary team.
  10. Reporting major issues and recommending solutions to decision-making bodies.
  11. Reviewing and implementing documentation or training related to activities.
  12. Representing your unit before senior management committees.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of six years of experience in IT product/software management or relevant experience, including as a product owner (PO)
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Proficiency in written communication for documenting client needs, success conditions, backlog, and budget reporting
  • Problem-solving skills to address roadblocks like capacity issues or supplier dependencies
  • Knowledge of the capital markets industry, especially the fixed income sector, including sales and trading platforms, market data, accounting, and risk management
  • Experience with Agile methodologies in transformation projects
  • Understanding of the integration chain from front to risk management
  • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence
  • Familiarity with capital markets solutions and platforms such as Bloomberg, Tradewest, CanDeal, GLMX, Tradeweb, and ION
  • Knowledge of financial products, pricing, bonds, derivatives, and relevant regulations like Dodd-Frank and MiFIDII
