Integris is looking for an individual to work as a Business Relationship Manager (BRM) on a permanent, full-time basis in our River Point/Town Centre branch.
The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) is responsible for managing a portfolio of small business and/or agricultural enterprise accounts with lending needs of up to $1.2M, which involves financial analysis of each member’s account. The BRM provides medium size business owners with exceptional service and sound financial advice and is responsible for the day-to-day management of an assigned portfolio, including financial analysis and annual reviews. The role is also responsible for expanding existing member relationships and acquiring new opportunities.
Salary Range: $71,802.56 to $86.845.65 CAD annually.

Principal Accountabilities
Credit Analysis
- Identifies, gathers, and analyses relevant information to assess risk, establishes viability of credit request and sources of repayment, and reviews loans structure to ensure adherence with credit policy and procedures.
- Inputs borrower financial statements into spreadsheet software.
- Monitors the credit portfolio to achieve and maintain desired performance metrics to include financial reviews, and current financial statements, and follows up on conditional approvals.
- Stays abreast of information on new loan products, industry trends and regulatory changes.
- Analyzes financial information, evaluates debt service, and leverages working capital.
Business Development
- Expands existing relationships and acquires new members through business development activities.
- Supports the implementation of new commercial products and services, as well as campaigns introduced by Integris.
- Maintains close relationships with important members, potential members, and industry and community group
- Networks with local small business leaders to establish quality centers of influence that will influence referrals
- Provides assistance in resolving member complaints.
- Actively seeks opportunities to solicit business client’s personal business
Risk Control
- Manages the short and long-term risk associated with commercial credit decisions, portfolio diversity, write-offs and reservations, collections, and other commercial decisions.
- Applies Integris’ lending practices to ensure a safe and sound portfolio of commercial loans.
- Provides direction and support to commercial lending support staff to ensure quality loan portfolios are maintained
Revenue Generation
- Tracks, reports, and achieves individual commercial service and sales goals and results, and contributes to the commercial division results.
- Contributes to the profitable growth of the corporate commercial division by controlling expenses through the application of internal checks and balances, and maximizing income opportunities through the negotiation of interest rates, fee income, service charges, and sale of related products.
- Reports personal commercial results and trends (financial, service and sales related, operational) to Senior Manager, Commercial Services, as required.
- Proactively seeks ways for the commercial division to contribute to corporate results.
- Develops a visible presence and high-profile relationship with important members, potential members, industry and the business community.
- Conducts business development activities to actively promote the credit union and commercial lending services.
Commercial Operations
- Adheres to established policies and procedures, policy limits, external and internal policies, procedures and regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Applies Integris’ credit policies to ensure compliance within the commercial division application and practice.
- Recommends operating policies and procedures that enhance the operating effectiveness of the division
Leadership & Teamwork
- Operates as a fully integrated team member of the commercial department.
- Builds effective relationships with branch staff.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience & Education
- 5+ years’ experience in a commercial lending environment, including demonstrated experience analyzing financial statements, underwriting commercial credit, and monitoring accounts; and,
- Completion of post-secondary education in a relevant discipline (e.g., business administration, commerce) or equivalent; and,
- Completion of the CuSource (CUIC) Commercial Lending Program; or,
- An equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered (willing to train the right individual and fit for Integris).
