Business Process and Knowledge Management Analyst

The Business Process and Knowledge Management team is looking for an Analyst to contribute to major projects in the group insurance and savings sector.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Business Process and Knowledge Management Analyst performs the following tasks:

  1. Writes task support tools, such as processes, comparison tables, and decision trees to support execution quality and efficiency of the Administration teams. To do this, the incumbent analyzes needs, drafts content in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts using available templates, and delivers on time. They update procedures and other task-related documents and promote best writing practices among administrative teams in the sector;
  2. Develops training based on adult education (andragogy) principles. This includes analyzing needs, designing training content in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts, working with the e-learning Designer to integrate content, and developing tools to assess learning. They act as a training advisor and promote best practices with internal clients;
  3. Manages documentation by analyzing client team needs, proposing a classification structure that supports their work organization, establishing classification standards, setting up a SharePoint collaboration site if needed, and promoting best practices to ensure sustainability and compliance of document management.

The Business Process and Knowledge Management Analyst is able to:

  1. Gather information from multiple sources to fully understand a situation;
  2. Ask the right questions to identify root needs and define solutions that bring value;
  3. Understand, simplify, and summarize information;
  4. Explain both simple and complex concepts in the group insurance and savings field to draw connections between processes;
  5. Apply writing standards;
  6. Apply document management methodology;
  7. Break down a project into phases and prioritize them.

Desired profile

  1. Bachelor’s degree in administration, education/teaching, communications, or any other relevant field
  2. 2 to 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in writing and training
  3. Strong communication, analysis, and synthesis skills. Must be organized and enjoy collaborating with multiple stakeholders on various projects
  4. Diplomacy and good judgment
  5. Attentiveness and curiosity
  6. Thoroughness
  7. Autonomy and initiative
  8. Creativity in delivering service offerings
  9. Knowledge of the group insurance and savings sector is an asset
  10. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio (for process mapping), Teams, and knowledge of SharePoint is an asset
  11. Excellent written and spoken French language skills
  12. Advanced English proficiency, both oral and written, as the role involves regularly producing documentation and leading requirement-gathering and project kick-off meetings with English-speaking internal clients on a weekly basis, depending on the mandates.
