Qualifications

Job description

Join our dynamic team as a People & Culture Business Partner! In this role you’ll be collaborating with FYi USA and FYi West, working strategically with business leaders to develop and implement impactful people strategies. You’ll ensure seamless facilitation, effective communication, and smooth change management of our P&C programs, policies, and practices across all areas of the business.

You’ll provide support and ensure compliance with employment legislation across multiple provinces in Canada and California.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Reviewing the people analytics for your business to monitor trends
  • Bringing strategic recommendations to your business unit about how to improve their business results through their people strategies
  • Building and cultivating positive relationships, providing leadership, and coaching on all people related programs, strategies and execution, across the business at all levels
  • Partnering with People & Culture team to help build, develop and implement templates, programs, and policies to enable the business, modeling and reinforcing our high-performance coaching culture
  • Collaborating with business leaders to evolve organizational structures and talent strategies for short- and long-term scalability
  • Sharing the People & Culture roadmap and gaining buy-in / support from your business to champion it with their teams
  • Providing consultation and guidance on performance management, engagement, career planning and talent development. Ensuring effective change management in all people related activities

As The Successful Candidate, You Have :

  • 3-5 years People & Culture experience
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation across multiple provinces in Canada
  • Strong knowledge of California employment laws and regulations, including compliance with wage and hour laws, leave policies, and compliance requirements
  • A University degree / college diploma in Human Resources Management / Business Administration or equivalent years of experience. CHRL / CHRP designation is considered an asset
  • Experience in using HR analytics to support business decisions
  • Experience in facilitating change management
  • Experience working in an HRIS (UKG specifically would be an asset)
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions and integrations is highly desired
  • Bilingualism (French / English) is an asset
