We’re Hiring:

Part-Time Podcast Host & Business Reporter (Atlantic Canada)

We are launching a weekly podcast focused on small business news in Atlantic Canada.

This is a part-time, remote position for someone passionate about business, media, and our region.

What’s the show about?

A 30-minute weekly roundup of notable small business headlines, local developments, and inspiring stories from entrepreneurs in the Atlantic provinces. The content should be insightful, relevant, and easy to listen to—designed for business owners, advisors, and community leaders interested in regional developments.

Who we’re looking for:
  • A great communicator with a clear, engaging voice
  • Curious and informed about business and economics
  • Experience in podcasting, journalism, or content creation
  • Comfortable with basic editing tools (e.g., Descript, Audacity)
  • Must reside in or be familiar with Atlantic Canada and be able to pronounce local community names correctly
Responsibilities:
  • Source and summarize 3–5 key news stories weekly (with assistance if needed)
  • Write conversational scripts or bullet points
  • Record and edit episodes to ensure a professional sound
  • Consistently deliver episodes on a weekly schedule
Time commitment:

Approximately 3–5 hours per week, flexible schedule, remote work. Compensation can be per episode or monthly.
