The Role
To manage and lead, achieving sales and expense goals through effective training and motivation of your area Sales Reps.
The Position Requires
The ability to coach and lead Independent Contractors and Company Sales Personnel in identifying and closing account development opportunities such as space, merchandising, promotion, and distribution.
The ability to recognize effective business practices and show their benefits.
Offer recommendations for improving operational efficiency.
The ability to manage other duties as assigned.
This is a fast-paced, frontline sales position requiring regular route sales work and a goal-oriented managerial style.
Accountabilities
Sales and Expenses: Meet or exceed sales plans within budgets; develop and maintain rapport with customers and sales personnel; respond quickly to the competitive environment.
Operations: Increase market penetration, identify opportunities, monitor commitments, and ensure policies are followed.
People: Develop an effective sales team, build a talent pipeline, and foster a positive work environment.
Performance Measures: Achieve sales and growth targets, manage expenses, meet customer service expectations, and develop promotable personnel.
Qualifications
Knowledge of business environment, planning, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Email.
Required Skill Set
2+ years of consumer goods sales experience, retail grocery experience, and strong leadership skills.
