Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic market direction, project development, sales campaigns, client relations, and contract negotiations for Oil and Gas projects. They will develop and maintain trusting relationships with key clients, OEMs, and critical partners, stay informed of organizational and market changes, advise design teams on client needs and industry standards, and identify business development opportunities. Responsibilities include recommending market strategies, developing proposals, providing industry insights, ensuring client satisfaction, and developing marketing approaches.

Location

This position is based in Calgary, Alberta, in a professional office setting within a shared service environment.

Responsibilities

This role involves complex project negotiations (EPC, high risk, large scale) and interfacing with business development for Oil and Gas markets. It includes marketing Kiewit’s capabilities to clients needing full-scope EPC services and collaborating with engineering firms and OEMs. Key duties include:

  • Developing and implementing business development plans aligned with corporate goals.
  • Collaborating with “Get Work” teams and other departments to showcase company capabilities.
  • Providing technical assistance and industry regulatory insights to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Building trusting relationships with decision makers.
  • Analyzing opportunities and providing feedback to pursuit teams.
  • Representing the company at trade organization events.
  • Keeping management informed of industry trends and market dynamics.
  • Leading in the Oil and Gas marketplace.
Qualifications

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • 15+ years of experience in Oil and Gas or similar markets.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, process innovation, and system requirements.
  • Ability to develop strategic and tactical plans to position Kiewit effectively.
  • Proven success in developing teams and leading sales pursuits such as GC, EPC.
  • Highly organized, energetic, and proactive in planning and market awareness.
