Job summary

A leading recruitment and staffing firm is looking for a Power BI Developer for a 6-month contract position in Oakville, Ontario. This role requires strong skills in Power BI administration and development, along with experience in SQL. You will train teams and assist in migrating reports from MicroStrategy to Power BI. The position is hybrid, requiring 3-4 days a week onsite. Eligible candidates must be able to work in Canada.

Qualifications

Power BI Developer (Contract Position)

Number of Positions: 1 Filled: 0 Duration: 6 months with possible extension

Location: Oakville, ON, CA

Must be eligible to work in Canada

Hybrid position, 3-4d/w onsite in Oakville mandatory, may change to be fully onsite

Must have skills:

Strong Power BI Admin, minimum of 3-5yrs experience

Able to train and coach technical and business teams

3-5yrs of Power BI development

3-5yr of configuring Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate in addition to developer experience on Report Builder and Power BI.

3-5yrs of SQL

strong analytical skills

Nice to haves:

Banking or insurance background

Experience in a MicroStrategy to Power BI migration

On the developer side, it’s developing and QAing reports which we are migrating from MicroStrategy to Power BI.
