Job summary

BESTSELLER Canada is seeking a Business Intelligence Intern in Montreal to support the BI team in data analysis, visualization, and reporting.

You will collect, clean, and structure data, build dashboards, and help identify opportunities for improvement across functions. Ideal candidates are pursuing BI/analytics studies, with strong Excel/SQL skills and bilingual English/French.

• Actively pursuing or recently graduated from BI/analytics related programs.
• Strong Excel and SQL skills; Power BI is an asset.
• Interest in data, analytics, and problem solving.
• Ability to structure information and communicate insights clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support BI team in analyzing, visualizing, and optimizing data.
• Collect, clean, and structure data from multiple sources.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports (KPIs, sales, operations).
• Analyze trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Operations, Logistics to understand data needs.

Position: Business Intelligence Intern
Reports to: Tech &BI Manager
Duration: 3 months - up to 36 hours/week (with possibility of extension )

Salary: Minimum wage
Location: Montreal, QC

What you’ll do

As a Business Intelligence Intern, you will support the BI team in analyzing, visualizing, and optimizing data to help teams make informed, data-driven decisions. More specifically, you will:

• Support the collection, cleaning, and structuring of data from multiple sources.
• Assist in building and maintaining dashboards and reports (KPIs, sales, performance, operations).
• Help analyze trends and identify opportunities for improvement across the business.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Finance, Operations, Logistics) to understand their data needs.
• Document processes and contribute to continuous improvement of BI tools and methodologies.
• Test and validate data quality to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Who you are

We are looking for a curious, structured, and analytical individual who is eager to grow their skills in Business Intelligence within a collaborative environment. What we’re looking for:

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong Excel and SQL skills; experience with Power BI, or similar tools (is an asset).
• Strong interest in data, analytics, and problem-solving.
• Ability to structure information and clearly communicate insights.
• Proactive, autonomous, and eager to learn.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
