Reporting directly to the Director, Information Technology, our BI Specialist will collaborate with business and technical teams to resolve business requests/issues. Design data visualizations, analyze BI system problems, identify solutions, present data, and develop new tools/releases. Advocate for IS standards and ensure solutions align with IS strategy.

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with Teams: Work with business and technical teams to resolve requests/issues.
• Design & Analyze: Create data visualizations, analyze BI system problems, identify solutions, and present data.
• Develop Tools: Develop new application tools/releases and ensure solutions align with IS strategy.
• Automate Solutions: Translate business requirements into database specs and deliver automated solutions.
• Risk Management: Identify risks, ensure compliance, conduct feasibility analysis, and troubleshoot issues.
• Data Management: Support data transfer, replication, warehousing, scheduling, and procedures.
• User Management: Manage Power BI database users and security.
• Testing & Integrity: Plan and execute User Acceptance Tests, promote data integrity, and facilitate data conversions/migrations.
• Operations Monitoring: Monitor production operations, solve/escalate problems to minimize business impact.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and Help Desk support.
• Documentation: Create technical documentation and perform other duties as needed.

What You Bring:

• Education: College Degree in Information Systems or Computer Sciences preferred.
• Experience: Up to 3 years in application development/DBA role in Microsoft SQL server environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Office Pro, SQL (2008-2016), Azure SQL DB, PowerBI/PowerApp, report writing tools, database administration, and web-based application development.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, and solid interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Technical Proficiency: Ability to quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application or database issues.
• ERP Knowledge: Experience with ERP solutions is an asset.
• Business Acumen: Understanding of the impact of recommendations/actions on the organization.
