As a member of our BI Operational Reporting Team, you'll participate in scoping, analyzing, developing, and automating BI reports and dashboard solutions. You'll also own the process for Quality Assurance and Support for BI reports and dashboards. In addition, you'll ensure high levels of data quality, hygiene, and accuracy.

What will you be doing?
  • Interface with business representatives and leaders to validate and capture business requirements/requests for reporting solutions.
  • Analyze business requirements, propose, design, develop, and implement BI solutions to satisfy those requirements.
  • Participate in the development of datamarts, reports, and data visualization solutions (dashboards) on the Business Insights platform, powered by MicroStrategy.
  • Develop and execute the quality and performance testing strategy and plans for BI reports and dashboards based on detailed data analysis.
  • Document BI reports testing results and develop recommendations for product improvement.
  • Perform data validation, reports testing, and identify data and reporting quality issues.
  • Communicate progress, milestones, challenges against plan, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Own support and monitoring of BI platform activities, ensuring timely loads and refreshes of all reports, dashboards, and subscriptions, and provide timely support for self-service reporting.
  • Resolve data reporting issues in a timely fashion to maintain a stable BI environment.
  • Develop deep data knowledge of goeasy business by combining data sets from different systems, analyzing heterogeneous data sets to come up with interesting KPIs, and informing the business as needed. Dive deep into key metrics based on requests.
  • Create ad-hoc queries and reports as needed, along with providing ongoing analytical support for these requests.
  • Work effectively with the Business Intelligence and Data Solutions Architects, Data and BI Engineers to ensure that all approved development and deployment procedures are followed.
What experience do you have?
  • 2-3 years of full domain knowledge of BI end-to-end implementation.
  • 2 years of experience with BI projects and/or data/reports testing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of in-depth business reporting experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or another Information Technology-related degree.
  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on design and development experience with BI tools (such as MicroStrategy, PowerBI, Tableau).
  • 1-2 years of experience working with SQL Server or a comparable relational database system.
  • Experience developing reports using documents, grids, graphs, dashboards, and working in Business Intelligence or Reporting Environments.
  • Knowledge of SQL skills to build, debug, and optimize.
  • Ability to identify data required to understand a given problem or business situation and use appropriate data.

We offer a Flexible Work Program that provides you the ability to work three days onsite per week, from our Mississauga office.
