The Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) is seeking a Business Intelligence Architect (Senior Analyst) to join their IT team. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining business intelligence systems, databases, and data warehouses to support various departments within the organization.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the development of a three-year vision for BI systems and managing data modeling efforts.
• Overseeing the lifecycle, performance, and security of BI systems.
• Leading technical projects to optimize BI systems and developing automation processes.
• Maintaining databases and data warehouses, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and developing scalable BI solutions.
• Providing training, support, and mentorship to team members.
• Staying updated with emerging BI technologies and trends.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years in computer science or related field, with 5+ years of experience in enterprise BI solutions.
• Proficiency in MS SQL Server BI stack, Power BI, SSRS, TSQL, Power Query, MDX, DAX, and Fabric.
• Power BI certification preferred.

This is a unionized position, working 35 hours/week, with a salary range of $80,704-$93,241. The role reports to the IT Manager and involves leading multiple complex projects within the organization.
