The Opportunity:
Reporting into the PSP business, the Business Insights Analyst will support Sentrex’s growing client base in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining accurate forecast models, analyzing program data, and generating insights to enhance program design, optimize operations, and support strategic and planning decisions. In addition, this role will use data driven insights to enable more informed program design, strategic proposals, and performance tracking to help drive client engagement and business growth.
A Day in the Life (What you will do here):
Forecasting & Program Planning
- Develop robust forecasting models to project patient enrollments, program volumes, treatment adherence, and resourcing needs.
- Work with pharmaceutical clients to align assumptions related to market uptake, commercial forecasts, reimbursement timelines, and product lifecycle.
- Update forecasts based on real-world data and track performance against KPIs and budget targets.
Data Analysis & Insights Generation
- Analyze patient program data (e.g., enrollment trends, reimbursement approvals, time-to-therapy, adherence rates) to identify operational bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Generate regular dashboards and custom reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct in-depth analyses of patient program data to identify performance drivers, opportunities for improvement, and outcomes for reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide recommendations to enhance program efficiency, patient outcomes, and client ROI.
Business Development Support
- Create forecasting models to support program planning, resource allocation, and business case development
- Support the preparation of proposals and RFP responses by providing relevant analytics, case studies, and program benchmarks.
- Support business cases for new program proposals, renewals, or expansions based on data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with the business development team to tailor recommendations based on historical data and emerging industry trends.
- Participate in strategy sessions as needed to support data-driven recommendations
Internal and External Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with the finance team, business development, program leads, operations, IT, and pharmaceutical partners to ensure alignment on data interpretation and strategic goals.
- Translate complex data into clear narratives and visualizations for use in business presentations and client discussions.
- Present findings in a clear, concise manner to clients, including brand teams and market access leads.
What you need to ensure you are set up for success:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Sciences, Statistics, Marketing, Health Economics or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a business analyst, data analyst or forecasting role, within the pharmaceutical industry (required)
- Background or understanding of PSP or specialty pharmacy (preferred)
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and with external pharmaceutical clients
- Strong understanding of the Canadian healthcare landscape, including public/private reimbursement and patient access pathways
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI)
- Strong experience with data extraction and manipulations from CRM/PSP databases
- Robust knowledge of forecasting methodologies
- Comfort with building models and business cases based on forecast assumptions and program KPIs

- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to translate complex data into business insights
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
