Job summary

US Tech Solutions is seeking a data analytics lead based in Toronto, Canada. The role focuses on advanced SQL and Python for data analysis, profiling, reconciliation, validation, and investigation of complex data issues within banking and Treasury domains.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years delivering large-scale data initiatives in financial services, and experience establishing disciplined testing practices for data projects. On-site role with 4 days onsite per week in Toronto.

Skills Required

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis, profiling, reconciliation, validation, and investigation of complex data issues.-5 years
• Strong knowledge of banking products and Treasury domains, including exposure to wholesale and/or retail businesses and use cases such as investments, and Treasury data products modeling.-5 years
• Proven experience delivering large-scale, complex data initiatives in banking or financial services, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical data solutions and measurable outcomes -5 years
• Experience with project testingdiscipline - 5 years

Experience and Skills

• Strong technical data management capabilities across enterprise datasets, including data sourcing, onboarding, integration, lineage analysis, source-to-target mapping, and support for modern cloud-based data platforms and end-to-end data flows.
• Strong technical capability to support data quality and business validation, including analysis of mapping and transformation rules, control and reconciliation results, root-cause investigation, and partnership with technology teams to resolve defects.
• Experience establishing disciplined testing practices for large-scale business and data initiatives, including test planning, test-case design, requirements traceability, execution coordination, defect triage, regression testing, and test evidence.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive execution, and deliver tangible business impact.

Candidate profile details

• Degree/Level of Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance or a quantitative discipline (e.g., Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering).
• Professional designations such as CFA, CPA, or FRM are strong assets.

Preferred/Ideal Candidate Background

• Data project delivery experience in the Financial product space, with exposure to
• investment with Treasury investment and hedging portfolio. That is the underlying content along with any account exposure in that product domain. Need to have that technical background around SQL and Python because that's the fundamental language that needs to be navigating in data bricks.
