Business Finance Reporting Lead

Rogers is seeking a Business Finance Reporting Lead to support the Corporate Applications IT team!

This team supports the business operations and strategic priorities of various Rogers internal corporate entities like Human Resources, Finance, Supply Chain & Procurement, Fraud Prevention, Sales Compensation, Legal, Physical Security, etc. As part of the Corporate Applications Portfolio & Program Management Team, the Business Financials & Reporting Manager will manage the portfolio’s financial performance and enable decision-making at the senior level by providing insights and recommendations. You will also report on the progress of all projects and programs within the portfolio as needed to support Weekly Portfolio Reviews, Monthly Business Reviews for IT Leadership, Quarterly Town Halls, and Quarterly Business Reviews for our Corporate Business Partners.

What you'll be doing:

  1. The overall management of consolidated project and program financials across the Corporate Applications IT Portfolio including forecast elicitation, determination, submission, and variance justification.
  2. Conducting analyses on financial performance with consideration to individual and consolidated budgets, and then providing insights and recommendations as needed to stay on track.
  3. Providing Financial Assurance for all incoming Contract Requests.
  4. Keeping a centralized inventory of Purchase Orders and conducting month-end receiving in alignment with work completion vs. payment milestones.
  5. Being a resource to Project and Program Managers/Coordinators for the financial management of individual projects and programs.
  6. Preparing recurring and ad hoc financial and project reporting to management as needed.
  7. Staying abreast of changes within individual projects and portfolios that may lead to negative impacts on financial performance.
  8. Staying updated on Rogers’ capital management accounting standards, policies, and management practices.
  9. Working closely within the Portfolio Team, and across Delivery and Operations Verticals to deliver actionable insights, develop and maintain dashboards, and data visualizations.
  10. Collecting and analyzing data across the entire portfolio to develop qualitative and quantitative progress and incident reports for IT Leadership and our Corporate Business Partners to better enable business decisions.
  11. Other administrative duties as assigned to support both the Portfolio and Program verticals.

What you bring:

  • A BA or Diploma in Finance, Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Project Management, or related field.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as a financial or business analyst.
  • A demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
  • The ability to analyze, correlate, and forecast based on data.
  • The ability to create and analyze financial reports.
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • An ownership mentality with the ability to think and act proactively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to relevant stakeholders.
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented presentation skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions.
  • Preferred: Accounting Degree with experience in Reporting.
  • Preferred: Experience using Oracle EPM for Forecast Management.

This is a hybrid position requiring in-office presence three days a week. You can choose your in-office days.
