Job description

The essential characteristic of successful MBAs is the ability to apply their technical knowledge in a manner that creates true value. These courses have been designed to help you understand the core competencies required to lead organizations and to determine how to best use your strengths to achieve the best possible outcomes. There are four primary objectives of these two courses:

  1. Develop a strategic perspective on the competing roles and requirements faced by organization leaders.
  2. Build an understanding of the balance between management and leadership and the means to achieving this balance.
  3. Allow class members to explore their strengths and develop strategies to build on these strengths.
  4. Lay the foundation for continued success.

The minimum requirement for consideration is a Master's degree or equivalent in a field relevant to the topic area. Previous experience teaching at the graduate level in a university environment is considered an asset. Please attach an updated resume to your application letter and include teaching evaluation scores if available.

Please take note of the following application guidelines:

  1. Please apply to each CAE posting in a separate email. The subject line should contain the course number, title, section, and the term you wish to teach (i.e. MBA 7303 Marketing Management section 3, Summer 2025).
  2. For each application, please submit a cover letter, updated resume, and teaching evaluation scores if available, in ONE PDF document or ONE Word document.
  3. Subject to public health guidelines and room capacities, the expectation is that this course is to be delivered in person.
  4. Course offerings are subject to budgetary approval and a minimum enrollment of 15 students.
  5. The CAE Contract binds the Contract Academic Instructor to take the course from start to conclusion including invigilation and marking of the final exam.
  6. Applicants who are graduate students please submit the Part-time Employment Form with sections 1 and 2 completed with your application package.
  7. The Assessment Committee requests formal and complete applications to our postings. Partial applications make the work of the Committee difficult and slow down the selection process. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
