Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist to drive new business growth and strengthen customer relationships across Canada’s mining sector.
This is a highly field-oriented position suited to someone with a strong technical sales background, an established network within the mining industry, and the ability to identify customer challenges and translate them into value-driven solutions.
The successful candidate will focus primarily on:Fixed Plant Solutions,Mill Liners,Wear Solutions and Wear Piping,Grinding Circuit Equipment, Mineral Processing Applications
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to grow market presence across Canada.
- Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities within the mining sector.
- Manage and expand relationships with existing customers and strategic partners.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across operations, maintenance, reliability, engineering, and procurement.
- Conduct regular site visits to mines, processing plants, and customer operations.
- Understand customer operational challenges and recommend appropriate technical and commercial solutions.
- Develop relationships with mining companies, EPCMs, OEMs, engineering consultancies, and other relevant industry partners.
- Manage the sales pipeline, customer activity, and business development opportunities across the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with internal technical, operational, and commercial teams to develop competitive customer solutions.
- Monitor market activity, customer requirements, industry trends, and potential growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in technical sales, business development, or account management within the mining industry.
- Established professional network and existing relationships within mining companies, EPCMs, OEMs, engineering firms, or related heavy industries.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new accounts while maintaining long-term customer relationships.
- Strong commercial awareness, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, field-based environment while collaborating effectively with teams across multiple regions.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
