Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Development Specialist to join our growing team. This individual will play a key role in advancing the firm’s business development and client engagement initiatives across multiple practice groups. The ideal candidate is proactive, with excellent communication skills, thriving in a fast-paced professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proposal & Pitch Development: Review RFPs and proposal platforms to identify potential client opportunities. Prepare tailored RFP responses, pitches, and proposals. Collaborate with lawyers and experts to gather content, conduct research, and ensure timely submissions. Maintain RFP database.
  • Seminar/Webinar Planning & Execution: Coordinate client-facing events, manage logistics, speakers, registration, and follow-up.
  • Client Communications: Draft and distribute newsletters, alerts, and marketing collateral, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
  • Engage with Focus Area Organizations: Connect with organizations within the firm's focus areas to identify opportunities and coordinate engagement.
  • Project Support: Assist with strategic initiatives, practice group reporting, and performance tracking.
  • Technology & Systems: Maintain content in marketing and CRM systems; use project management tools like Monday.com.
Key Skills & Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in a professional services environment, preferably law firms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Monday.com, and email marketing platforms.
  • Strategic, client-focused mindset with an interest in professional services marketing.
Education & Experience
  • Post-secondary degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or 5+ years of relevant experience).
  • 4+ years in business development or marketing, preferably within a law firm or professional services.
