The Position:
Join our dynamic team as a Business Development Sales Manager, where you'll lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team of Business Development Specialists. Your mission: drive PMA and service business growth through expanding contracts, uncovering new opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive New Growth Through the BDR Team:
- Set and champion PMA growth targets with crystal-clear performance expectations.
- Provide structure and accountability to ensure the team meets sales quotas.
- Utilize CRM and sales data to track progress and make data-driven adjustments.
Build & Develop a High-Performing Business Development Team:
- Recruit, train, and guide a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to success.
- Conduct weekly coaching sessions focused on call strategy, objection handling, and relationship-building.
- Lead by example by actively participating in client meetings and sales presentations.
Expand Networking & Industry Presence:
- Ensure all BDRs participate in relevant networking groups to engage with ideal clients.
- Personally build strategic partnerships that drive referrals and lead flow.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
Increase Client Engagement:
- Set minimum weekly expectations for client-facing meetings (10+ per rep).
- Refine sales messaging to effectively communicate the value of FSSC’s services.
- Monitor performance and ensure meetings align with ideal client criteria.
Ensure Consistent Prospecting & Lead Generation:
- Oversee the creation of new business opportunities through targeted outreach.
- Implement prospecting best practices to engage high-value clients.
- Encourage multi-channel outreach, including phone, email, LinkedIn, and networking.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Over 5 years of hands-on experience in business development or sales leadership.
- 2+ years managing BDR or SDR teams with a proven track record of exceeding targets.
- Experience selling to facilities and/or property managers (strongly preferred).
- Strong background in new business development & outbound prospecting.
- Prior experience in a trade-related sales environment is a plus.
