Job description

As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities through proactive outreach, appointment setting, and building a qualified pipeline for the Account Manager team. This role will be based in-office in Markham, Ontario and offers a base salary of $50,000–$55,000 CAD plus commission.


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • Base Salary: $50,000–$55,000
  • OTE (year 1): $70,000–$80,000
  • Commission: residual, paid monthly

OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY:

  • Office: Markham, ON
  • Sales Territory: Primarily Ontario and Western Canada
  • Work Model: In-office, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours/week


EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2–3 years of B2B/B2C sales or lead generation experience, preferably in IT services, SaaS, telecom, or related fields
  • Proven experience booking meetings and generating sales leads in a consultative environment


TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Excel – Basic

  • Primary Market: Small professional services firms (financial advisors, insurance brokerages, legal practices, accounting firms)
  • Decision Makers: Business owners, senior leadership (VP/Director/C-Suite)


SALES CYCLE / ORDER VALUE / ACCOUNT SIZE:

  • Sales Cycle: 1–3 months
  • Sales Style: Consultative, trust-based approach, phone-based and in-person as needed
