Summary :
We are seeking a driven and ambitious Business Development Representative (BDR) to help expand our environmental division by identifying new business opportunities, generating high-quality leads, and driving customer growth. The ideal candidate will leverage their strong background in customer service, sales, and networking to build and maintain strategic relationships with clients and partners. This role is essential in delivering service beyond analysis—providing not just solutions, but exceptional support and value that exceed client expectations. This position is open to applicants from Sudbury and North Bay or surrounding regions.
Responsibilities
- Proactively seek new business opportunities to expand our Laboratories’ market presence.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of sales prospects to improve market position.
- Foster strong, long-term relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Act as a trusted advisor, addressing client needs and exceeding expectations.
- Design and execute account-specific sales and marketing strategies to support revenue growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with customer objectives.
- Manage relationships with assigned accounts while generating new business opportunities aligned with company goals.
- Promote our Laboratories’ customer-centric approach to build long-lasting partnerships.
- Develop and implement annual territory and business plans to achieve budgeted sales objectives.
- Utilize insights and analytics to prepare business reviews and identify growth opportunities.
- Represent our Laboratories at industry workshops, tradeshows, and professional associations.
- Stay informed on market trends, technological advancements, and competitive activities.
- Monitor and analyze competitor activities to identify market opportunities.
- Leverage insights to adjust strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as reporting, documentation, and account updates, as required.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience / education.
- Proven customer service experience with a team-focused mindset.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and Hubspot.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a confident and professional phone manner.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
