We are looking for a Business Development Representative to join our Winnipeg, Waterloo or London Office !

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our dynamic insurance brokerage team. As a Business Development Representative you will proactively generate qualified leads, align prospects with targeted BFL Industries and Programs, and create sales opportunities for Client Executives (CEs). You will work closely with the Client Executive team, and engaging prospects through cold outreach to bridge the gap between lead generation and CE engagement. This role will directly contribute to pipeline expansion and new revenue generation. The ideal candidate is confident, persistent, and thrives in a fast-paced sales environment.

Your day as a Business Development Representative

  • Proactively source and identify new business opportunities through cold calling and outbound emails.
  • Maintain and develop a clean and up-to-date pipeline of qualified leads.
  • Secure meetings with key decision-makers at prospective client organizations.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team on prospect pipelines and outreach efforts
  • Conduct follow-ups with leads consistently to advance conversations and move prospects through the pipeline.
  • Use CRM tools (EPIC) to track activity, manage follow-ups, and report on lead generation efforts.
  • Proven experience in outbound business development or lead generation,preferably in insurance or a similar B2B environment.
  • Comfortable and confident with high-volume cold calling and email prospecting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport and influence others.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and persistent in follow-up efforts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams in a goal-oriented setting.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems effectively.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
