Job description

The Business Development Representative supports Intelex’s drive for sales, revenue, and overall business growth. The role involves generating sales-ready leads through outbound and inbound prospecting via phone and email in targeted vertical markets, as defined by sales and marketing strategies.

Responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Generate new business opportunities to support Intelex’s growth
  • Engage in high-level conversations and market research with senior executives
  • Communicate key messages and the value of Intelex solutions
  • Understand and articulate the technical aspects of Intelex’s product line
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and other business development team members
  • Meet monthly/quarterly quotas for sales opportunities and leads
  • Report on market trends to inform sales and marketing strategies
  • Make cold and warm calls to various levels, including senior executives
  • Use diverse methods and resources to generate leads
  • Track leads using Salesforce and other sales tools
  • Conduct discovery and introductory conversations with decision-makers
  • Stay informed on industry trends and challenges
  • Enhance product knowledge continuously

Organizational Alignment

  • Reports to the Manager, Business Development
  • Builds relationships with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

Required

  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently

Preferred

  • Interest in sales and revenue growth
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Health, Safety, or Quality practices (asset)

Technical Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Salesforce and Microsoft Office

Experience

  • At least 1 year in a customer-facing role
