Business Development Representative

Are you a driven and ambitious professional eager to kickstart or accelerate your career in sales? Field Effect, a dynamic cybersecurity scale-up, is growing and continuously seeking Business Development Representatives (BDR) in Canada to help us drive new business for our Managed Detection & Response solution and build lasting relationships with clients.

As the first sales touchpoint, Field Effect BDRs generate opportunities through marketing-qualified leads and proactive outbound efforts. BDRs play a key role in building the partner pipeline and contributing to overall sales success.

What You’ll Do:

1. Identify, contact, and qualify decision makers from target accounts, including managed service providers (MSP), value-added resellers (VAR), and small-to-mid-sized businesses.
2. Book prospect meetings for Account Executives with the ultimate goal of these meetings becoming a new pipeline opportunity for sales.
3. Achieve your quota for generating new opportunities for sales.
4. Call volumes of 70+ per day.
5. In your sales calls, understand a prospect's pain points and how we solve for them, plus always take a values-based approach in your sales conversations.
6. Develop your sales skills through regular one-on-ones, simulated/role-play sales calls, and practicing with our sales playbook.
7. Maintain comprehensive information, including call records and account status, in our CRM.
8. Reporting on weekly/monthly/quarterly results.
9. Our tech stack for the BDR role includes: ZoomInfo Engage, 6Sense, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Microsoft Dynamics, and more.
10. Please note that occasional travel may be required for this role.

Experience & Skills We Look For:

1. Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required for this role.
2. Drive & Ambition: A self-starter with a high sense of urgency and a proactive interest in a career in sales.
3. Organization & Efficiency: Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
4. Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with CRM tools and Field Effect tech stack is a plus.
5. Team Player: Collaborative, eager to share insights, and receptive to continuous feedback.
6. Experience: Previous experience in sales or related fields is an asset.
7. Work Setting: This is a work from home position open to candidates residing in Canada. Hybrid/onsite option is available for candidates that reside in the Ottawa region. Remote workers are required to have a reliable internet connection.
