Job description

Built Green Canada is seeking a Business Development Associate to support our expansion in the Ontario market.

This role involves increasing market share in Ontario through market research, lead generation, and boosting builder participation. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in the residential building industry, familiarity with building science concepts, and proven sales success with the ability to close deals.

Our strategy focuses on differentiation and establishing uncontested market space in Ontario, rather than competing directly with others.

The responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and executing strategies to raise awareness and demand in Ontario.
  2. Identifying new growth opportunities and collaborating with the team to implement plans.
  3. Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  4. Educating builders on certification benefits and processes through meetings and presentations.
  5. Representing Built Green at industry events.
  6. Tracking activities and preparing weekly reports on challenges and successes.

This is a remote, full-time position requiring a self-motivated, adaptable individual with a proven track record in closing deals. The candidate must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license, with a focus on southern and southeastern Ontario.

Our organization is a national, non-profit committed to sustainable building practices. We offer programs across various residential and commercial sectors, emphasizing energy efficiency, holistic sustainability, and innovative building technologies. Since our founding in 2003, we have certified over 53,884 projects across multiple provinces, including Ontario.
