Founded in 2006, Triple Eight Transport Inc is an asset-based carrier company with terminals in Abbotsford, Calgary, and Edmonton! We provide Full Truck Load Transportation Services to and from major cities in Western Canada and Western US with our own fleet of Reefers, and Dry Vans.

We are expanding to a solution- focused warehouse in Calgary so we are looking to hire a business development representative who can help us grow our business in warehousing.

Who we are looking for:

We are seeking a motivated and results driven Business Development Representative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting our products and services, building strong customer relationships and driving sales growth. This role requires a blend of excellent communication skills, mechanical knowledge and the ability to navigate warehouse operations effectively. This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional who enjoys a fast pace and can work well independently and with a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base in warehousing.
  • Prepare and present RFPs, proposals, quotes, and contracts to potential clients.
  • Executing all steps of the sales process: prospecting, closing, and continued growth.
  • Promote warehouse Services such as storage solutions, inventory management and logistics support.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets by closing new business deals and continuously adding to your pipeline.
  • Provide a solution-based sales approach targeting customers with scale and high-value products.
  • Collaborate internally to onboard customers successfully and maintain a high level of service after sales.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and positive attitude.
  • Build competitor, market, and industry knowledge.
  • Utilizing HubSpot and Zoom Info
  • Identify and qualify new business prospects, targeting Triple Eight’s ideal customer profile.
  • Generating leads and engaging with them via cold calls and emails.
  • Identify potential clients through market research, networking, and referrals.
  • Grow and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.
  • Attend industry events, and trade shows to represent Triple Eight and generate leads.

What You Need to Be Successful in This Role:

  • 1-3 years of proven sales experience in warehousing, logistics or supply chain.
  • Self- motivated, goal-oriented and capable of working independently.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, supply chain and logistics services.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced but driven environment.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for client meetings in Canada and US if required.
  • Excellent knowledge of North American transportation modes and customers
