We are now looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our team and help us grow our brand and market presence.
Position Overview:
As a Business Development Officer, you will play a key role in expanding our market reach, developing strategic partnerships, and driving sales growth. This position requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of the wine industry, hospitality, strong business acumen, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business development strategies to increase market share and sales revenue.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, collaborations, and distribution channels.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, retailers, hospitality partners, and industry influencers.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns that drive brand awareness and customer engagement.
- Prepare and present business proposals, reports, and analyses to senior management.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of business development initiatives, making recommendations for improvements.
- Represent the winery at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably within the wine, beverage, or hospitality industry.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Strong understanding of the wine market and industry trends.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively to identify growth opportunities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
