About DGI Geoscience

DGI Geoscience is a leading provider of subsurface geoscience solutions to the mining, geotechnical, and hydrogeological sectors. With over two decades of experience, we are recognized for our advanced downhole data acquisition, innovative technologies, and expert geological interpretation. Our services help clients reduce risk and optimize decision-making from exploration through to production.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to lead and grow our Canadian market presence. The role will be responsible for expanding our client base, deepening relationships with key clients, and identifying new opportunities across the mining and geoscience industries. The successful candidate will bring a strong track record in technical sales and business development. This position will be an active part of the organization, connecting with marketing, technical expertise, and operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving revenue targets and developing new business.

The position is ideally based out of our Toronto office; however, excellent candidates based elsewhere in Canada will be considered. This is an exciting position for an energetic candidate who is looking to grow with the company as it expands across vertical and geographic markets. The role will focus on the Canadian market, with potential for growth into the lead for DGI Business Development globally.

Strategy and Collaboration with Management:
  1. Participate in the development and execution of a comprehensive strategic sales plan aligned with DGI’s growth objectives;
  2. Participate in the vision of the organization with the development of long-range and annual plans;
  3. Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in mining, consulting, and exploration firms;
  4. Participate in the preparation of sales, marketing, and development reports to summarize progress;
  5. Work with operations, marketing, and technical teams to deliver tailored proposals and solutions.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • University degree in sciences or engineering and/or experience in business development or technical sales in the mining or geoscience sector;
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development or technical sales;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow accounts, with experience penetrating major clients;
  • Experience in the mining industry is an asset;
  • A strong network within Canada’s mining and mineral exploration industry is highly valued;
  • Knowledge of geoscience services such as geophysics, core logging, downhole measurements is a strong asset.
