What is the opportunity?

We are looking for top talent to join our Montréal sales team! In this role you will be part of RBC Global Asset Management (RBC GAM). Working in partnership with a District Vice-President (Wholesaler) and Sales Coordinator, your key responsibility is to build and cultivate new relationships and enhance existing relationships with financial advisors, planners, and key internal and external stakeholders in a defined territory.

What will you do?

  • Partner with the District Vice-President to establish a strategic business plan for the territory with defined sales targets

  • Proactively contact financial advisors and planners to gain information and insight into their practices

  • Provide value-added insight and ideas about capital markets, economics, and investment instruments

  • Position the RBC, PH&N, BlueBay, and RBC iShares ETF solutions line-up to prospects and existing clients

  • Advance the sales process with new prospects by booking presentations and appointments for the District Vice-President

  • Create and deliver presentations, proposals, and investment illustrations

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have

  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs

  • University degree or equivalent, preferably in Commerce, Economics, Finance, or other related discipline

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in the financial services industry

  • Completion or enrolment in an advanced financial services designation such as CIM, F.Pl., and/or CFA

  • Excellent knowledge and genuine interest in capital markets and financial instruments
