The Business Development Manager (BDM) has the overall responsibility for the performance of new cars, pre-owned cars, service, and parts in the assigned region. The BDM will develop and steer Porsche Centres based on specific KPIs. This multifaceted role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and management skills, along with the confidence to motivate a geographically dispersed stakeholder group.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Achieve monthly and yearly sales objectives for new vehicles, pre-owned cars, service, and parts by model line and dealer.
- Conduct on-site dealer visits and provide feedback to Porsche Cars Canada Ltd. (PCL) departments.
- Review and analyze KPIs across all business areas to identify growth opportunities and ensure dealer profitability.
- Manage annual Dealer Business related to Performance margin and the Premier Porsche Centre Scorecard.
- Implement dealer action plans, document deliverables, and ensure follow-up.
- Support the rollout of Dealer Strategy and monitor progress.
- Monitor Marketing scorecard KPI achievement.
- Support the implementation of new business fields.
- Monitor utilization of Sales Funnel (Leads / Order Intake / Order Bank).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to grow and optimize dealer performance.
- Coordinate with the Director, After Sales, to focus on After Sales Business Development.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in automotive or business; MBA is an advantage.
Experience :
- 7+ years in automotive wholesale Sales, After Sales, Marketing, Market Representation, or Business Management; retail automotive experience is a plus.
- At least 4 years of relevant field experience in Sales, Service, and Parts.
Skills :
- Willingness to travel overnight and participate in events during evenings / weekends.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Leadership skills for regional / district initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
