Business Development Manager – Mining & Environmental Sector

H2Lab is an environmental analysis laboratory serving private companies, public organizations, and individuals. With nearly 30 years of experience in the mining industry, we stand out for our personalized, client-focused approach. We are known for our technical expertise, commitment to sustainable practices, and dedication to clients throughout Quebec.

Your Mission

Reporting to the General Management and working closely with the customer service and laboratory teams, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic business relationships within the mining and environmental sectors.

You will play a key role in:

Identifying new business opportunities

Growing the client portfolio

Promoting our services to key decision-makers

Main Goals

Increase sales in Quebec

Develop and expand our presence in Ontario

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement targeted prospecting strategies for Quebec and Ontario

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the mining and environmental sectors

Build and maintain a network of industry contacts in collaboration with account managers

Collaborate with service and lab teams to create tailored proposals based on client needs

Represent H2Lab at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and networking activities

Monitor the sales pipeline and performance metrics regularly

Ensure a smooth handover of new clients to account managers

What We’re Looking For

5–10 years of experience in business development within the environmental, mining, or industrial sectors

Strong knowledge of the Quebec and Ontario markets and relevant industry challenges

A well-established network in the mining or environmental sectors

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills

Strategic thinking, autonomy, and attention to detail

Available for frequent travel in Quebec and Ontario

Proficient in CRM tools

Educational background in science or environmental studies – an asset
