Position Summary:
- Deliver the planned annual sales & profit targets for select categories while managing trade effectively.
- Work with direct guidance from the manager related to business planning and customer strategy.
- Execute business strategies and tactics as directed.
- Manage accounts that are typically sophisticated in terms of category management and complexity. May be assigned to special markets or complex product lines requiring significant client relationship skills.
Responsibilities:
Customer Account Management: Demonstrate the ability to drive sales results while providing best-in-class customer service.
- Accountability may range from partial for one or two large accounts to full for multiple small accounts.
- Lead strategic business initiatives and develop joint business plans with customers.
- Negotiate annual agreements, promotional activity, listing fees, price increases, and costing with customers.
- Create and present business reviews.
- Gain customer approval for in-store activation (displays, signs, etc.).
- Address retail pricing issues with customers.
- Manage routine demand and supply issues.
- Communicate changes to policies, discontinued items, pricing actions, recalls, or product quality issues.
- Ensure new products are listed and distribution gaps are filled.
- Handle customer and consumer complaints.
Sales: Utilize product category, customer, and consumer data to identify opportunities and prepare selling presentations.
- Manage new product launches.
- Expand distribution of Conagra Brands products.
- Manage multiple food groups applicable items in the portfolio.
Business Planning / Financial Accountability: Conduct sales analytics to provide solutions to customer needs.
- Deliver annual net sales and profit targets.
- Accurately forecast sales volume and trade dollars.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate trade and shopper marketing initiatives based on insights.
- Maximize trade investments and efficiencies aligned with business objectives.
- Develop and present category management solutions.
- Understand and execute marketing plans and sales materials.
- Monitor trade activity execution.
- Evaluate customer-specific reports and standardized reports like IRI.
Relationship Management within Internal Matrix Organization:
- Collaborate with the account team and cross-functional teams including Shopper Marketing, Category Management, Brand Marketing, Retail Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain.
- Partner with Business Analysts and Account Managers on reporting and analytics.
- Communicate with other sales personnel and functions as needed.
- Maximize sales opportunities through alignment and support from the Retail Team.
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (Foods) Sales or Key Account Management.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Good business and financial acumen, including analytics, P&L understanding, and trade management.
- Proficiency in Nielsen IQ.
- Ability to make recommendations based on data analysis.
- Attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Experience managing trade spending.
- Strong report running and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems.
- Ability to work within a matrix organization, collaborating with various teams.

Compensation:
Pay Range: $79,000 - $116,000
The salary depends on location, experience, skills, and internal equity, complying with applicable laws.
