Business Development Manager – Industrial

Winnipeg, MB (home based)

Bryce Delegarde of Lock Search Group is working with a proud leader in the Canadian Construction and Industrial Sectors. Our client supports their customer partners by providing engineering assistance for product selection through a Sales & Support Team that delivers local hands-on job-site training and is backed by a reliable supply chain built with a history of quality manufacturing and a strong distribution network.

We are seeking a Home-based Business Development Manager to join their team to work across the Manitoba & Saskatchewan territory. The role involves developing relationships with stakeholders including engineering, design, safety, trades of end-users, and distributors. The primary responsibility is to assist the sales team in identifying and cultivating new business prospects at both end-user and distribution levels. Reporting directly to the National Sales Director, the candidate must be capable of working autonomously. There will be monthly travel across the prairies to connect with their customer base.

Responsibilities:

  • Encourage engineering firms to adopt and specify our products.
  • Explore and pursue new business opportunities throughout the territory.
  • Conduct regular presentations to engineering firms to enhance brand recognition and increase sales.
  • Provide training and technical support to the field sales team and customers, including engineers and end users, as needed.
  • Foster relationships with both existing and potential customers.
  • Stay up-to-date with professional knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and engaging in professional networks.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of competitive products, advantages/disadvantages, and pricing models.
  • Monitor and oversee opportunities through the company's CRM.
  • Quick to take on responsibilities and adapt to new challenges.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of sales experience within an industrial setting.
  • Experience successfully hunting for new business in the construction industry.
  • Ability to develop key stakeholder relationships, both end-user and distributor.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong team player with exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Possess a valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
