Freight Machos Inc. is a 3rd party logistics company located in Oakville, ON. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team in the position of Business Development Manager. You should possess excellent verbal and written English communication skills. This is a full-time position. If you're a high-energy individual with a strong work ethic, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • Identify business opportunities and generate profitable sales to meet and exceed new business revenue goals.
  • Prospect, develop and close a continuous pipeline of new business.
  • Build strategic relationships with key contacts within customer organizations to understand opportunities for creating value.
  • Capitalize on value-creation opportunities by working closely with the sales and operations management team to develop creative, workable solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Monitor and review customer sales activity and make strategy adjustments as needed.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with clients and relevant operations staff to evaluate performance and receive updates from clients on challenges and plans.
  • Work collaboratively with the operational staff at multiple sites and locations to ensure customers' needs and expectations are met.
  • Assist in the development and reporting of competitive market analysis.
  • Complete administrative functions as soon as possible.
  • Maintain a high level of expertise and knowledge of products and services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English (writing/reading).
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the Logistics & Transportation Industry.
  • Strong knowledge of ocean and air freight.
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing International Solutions operationally.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external partners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong telephone skills and etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with data collection and order entry.
  • A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Book of business is a plus.

Experience

  • Freight Forwarding (sales): 3 years (required)
