Job description

Plan and carry out direct sales activities to attain new accounts in accordance with agreed sales and business plans. Collaborate with the Branch Manager, General Manager, Regional Vice President, and Vice President of Sales to grow revenue and exceed targets by promoting and selling our services, and driving sales activity within a designated territory, using discretion and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Sales and Business Development: Develop new and prospective customers while maintaining existing accounts. Assist leadership in preparing and negotiating bids, RFQs, and quotations with customers, suppliers, and overseas agents. Support sales campaigns and events with local and overseas partners. Coordinate and attend sales visits in Canada and abroad to aid business development. Manage personal business portfolio/territory according to market strategy. Conduct joint sales visits with other sales or operational staff. Ensure compliance with regulations from Canada Customs, IATA, CIFFA, FMC, and other authorities. Support future sales offices in remote locations. Quote freight costs to new customers. Respond to inquiries and follow up on sales leads using appropriate methods.
  • Client and Supplier Management: Manage assigned customers using established tools to achieve and exceed targets. Follow up weekly with new clients post-shipment. Share contract information with relevant parties. Conduct client entertainment responsibly to uphold Rohlig Canada's reputation. Ensure timely completion of customer requests and adherence to service level agreements. Resolve discrepancies and document them via the Innovations and Incidents Management system.
  • Administration: Monitor industry trends and competitor activity. Attend industry events as a representative of Rohlig Canada. Update customer and sales activity information in CRM. Provide weekly sales activity reports. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
