Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead sales initiatives across multiple hotels in the Ottawa region. Reporting directly the Director of Sales, this is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team and make a national impact.

YOUR ROLE

  • Develop, present, and negotiate proposals for group bookings and business travel clients.
  • Manage and grow existing accounts while nurturing long-term client relationships.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, outside sales calls, and participation in industry events, trade shows, and sales blitzes.
  • Analyze sales reports, market trends, and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with the national Germain Hotels sales team to ensure consistent brand representation and maximize market presence.
  • Represent Germain Hotels at trade fairs, conferences, and targeted sales campaigns.
  • Demonstrate leadership through professionalism, customer service excellence, and in-depth product knowledge.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Proven experience (minimum three years) in hospitality sales or a related field.
  • College diploma or university degree as asset
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel for sales activities and industry events.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
  • Strong proficiency in computer tools, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and Opera Cloud.
